When I first began using it, it cleared up acne I had and has helped me maintain a smooth complexion, that always feels moisturized albeit never greasy. I take a good sized dollop and massage it into my face in circles. When the cream emulsifies into a clear or milky liquid, I take a tissue and wipe it off. I know there are a lot of methods to using this, but this is what works for me. I sometimes do and sometimes don't wash my face after, it depends on my mood. I love to use it after a good workout or when I'm tired as it really perks me up. It has a cooling tingling feeling once it reaches your face, but it isn't obnoxious, it's more subtle. I haven't found it to be irritating although I only leave it on for about 20-30 seconds; anymore than that and I realize it starts to dry out my skin a little. I have to make sure my face isn't soaking wet or I end up using more product...your skin only needs to be slightly more than damp. This has to be my favorite face product along with the Clearasil face wash. It was only $3 at Ulta and leaves my skin soft, silky, moisturized, glowing, clear, EVERYTHING! It is a chemical exfoliant meaning you don't rub it like a normal exfoliator..you leave it on like a mask and it eats away at the dead skin. You are supposed to leave it on for 5-10 mins, but I leave it on for anywhere from 5 mins to an hour. It smells lush like fresh pineapples. I use this four times a week, more or less. This has really improved my skin and I adore it. Great reviews on Makeupalley as well.</span></b></span></span><br />

This is one of my other favorite face products. It smells like grape bubblegum which I love but the scent goes away quickly. When I first bought this I wasn't sure it did anything other than for novelty purposes and I found that to be true the first time I used it. I read amazing reviews on makeupalley and tried it again. With using it more than once, it really starts to work. It leaves my skin clearer and clears up any acne as well as preventing than anything else. While I used to love the Queen Helene Julep mask, I feel as if this is the best treatment. It leaves my skin so soft and SO CLEAR. It is much easier to peel off than any other peel off mask I have tried and dries in about 10-15 mins. I use quite a bit each time so be warned you will have to use more than you expect but I have used it multiple times and still have a lot left plus it is only $3 or so at Ulta so it doesn't set you back much :)</span></b></span></span><br />

<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0823.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0823.jpg" /></a><br />
I'm going to split this up into categories...<br />
<br />
<ul><li><b>Category one: Nails</b></li>
</ul><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0825.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0825.jpg" /></a><br />
I have been loving brights and pastels for the month of March and now that the weather is getting even warmer (especially in SoCal), I will be sure to wear the brightest colors I can find, as well as the prettiest pastels.<br />
<br />
From left to right:<br />
<br />
<ol><li><b>CND </b>(Creative Nail Design) <b>Stickey:</b> I adore this product! It is designed to be used as a base coat that's extra strength; it is supposed to "anchor" the color to your nails. I have a HUGE problem with my nailpolish chipping no matter what I do and I have found this to really be a lifesaver. I use it, apply two-three coats of my nail polish, apply this and THEN add top coat. It only is one more step and really helps when you make this basecoat-color-basecoat sandwich :)</li>
<li><b>Sinful Colors in Neon Melon: </b>I have been going through a huge neon and pastel phase lately. I have a few neon yellows in my stash, but this is my favorite. It only costs $1.99 and is so opaque and vivid. It has no shimmer and the color is a true neon yellow.</li>
<li><b>Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Raspberry Race: </b>I just picked this up at Target a few weeks ago. This polish, which retails at $4.99, reminds me a lot of Essie's Grenadine, a color I had been wanting to pick up. This shade is a purpley-pinky orchid color and I wasn't sure how it'd look on my nails. I ended up loving it :) This is my first insta-dri and it is literally COMPLETELY opaque in one coat (I use two anyways, but it made no difference) and dries so quickly. I love it!</li>
<li><b>Love and Beauty </b>(F21 brand) <b>in Light Orange: </b>My last post talked about my other F21 nail polish I tried out and I love this one just as much. The color is a soft peach that is such a great quality; very smooth and easy to apply. </li>
<li><b>Orly Nail Color in Galaxy Girl: </b>I heard so many raves about this polish and when I finally saw it in my CVS, I snatched it right up! This color reminds me of my favorite eyeshadow (MAC Blue Brown/TF Label Whore-I love them both and theyre the exact some color)...it is a brownish red with strong flashes of blue and green. So unique and gorgeous! With one coat, it was more red, while two coats made the flashes of color stand out. Three coats made the color dark brown with dark flashes of green and blue. I paid about $5 for it and I love the color. The formula is average.</li>

<div>Orly Galaxy Girl (NOT my picture!): <a href="http://media.photobucket.com/image/orly%20galaxy%20girl/TyHill21/IMG00174-20101025-0808.jpg?o=5" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt312/TyHill21/IMG00174-20101025-0808.jpg" /></a><br />

</b><br />
<div><ul><li><b>Category two: Face</b></li>
</ul><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0836.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0836.jpg" /></a><br />
From left to right:</div><div><ol><li><b>Pout Apricot Totty Blush-</b>I adore this hot coral pink blush! I have a review on it <a href="http://makeuplovexo.blogspot.com/2011/03/hot-trend-for-spring-bright-blushes.html">HERE</a> :) I have continued to use this most days this month, it brightens up my face PERFECTLY and you only need the smallest amount :) Since it is a trend for Spring, I will be sure to use it in the upcoming months too</li>
<li><b>MAC Vanilla Pigment</b><b>-</b>This was my first pigment from MAC and after two years, I still adore it. I use it as a highlight color on my browbone as well as brightening up the inner tear duct. I also sometimes mix this with my foundation to make my face emit radiance :) My favorite thing about this product is that it's not shimmery or glittery, but GLOWY! My favorite way to use it is to apply to my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose, it looks like I have a radiance coming from within my skin. You only need the smallest amount, I love it!! It lasts forever too :)</li>
<li><b>Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 180</b><b>-</b>I started using this foundation about two and a half years ago. I never found my perfect shade since most of the colors have a pink undertone, while mine is more on the yellow side. Regardless of this, I continued to use it (which was NOT a good look at all) because of how much I loved the coverage, the finish, the staying power, etc. About a year ago, I strayed and started to accumulate tinted moisturizer as I feel like my skin really doesn't need much coverage whatsoever. After seeing a FOTD where someone used this, I rushed out and bought it because a)it looked AMAZING on her and b)her skin color seemed similar to mine and we both had yellow tones. The new shade is perfect for my skin tone (NC25-30 with yellow undertones) and looks absolutely FLAWLESS. It has amazing coverage and lasts for ages without touchups. I use this when I go out at night or want my skin to look perfect :)</li>
</ol></div><div><ul><li><b>Category three: Eyes</b></li>
</ul>From left to right:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0838.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0838.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
</div><div><ol><li><b>Rimmel Lash Maxxx Mascara</b><b>-</b>I am in LOVE with this mascara. The wand is literally a comb. Not like lashblast but an actual baby comb which sounds scary but its not LOL It helps make my lashes seperated and soooo long. I have never used a mascara that made my lashes this long before, they literally touch my eyebrow bone when I use it! My lashes are average in terms of length and volume. Because this mascara doesn't provide enough volume for me (I like my eyelashes to use fake when I use mascara) I layer another mascara on top of it (lately, it's been Rimmel Max Mousse)..this is definite HG and completely perfect.</li>
<li><b>ELF Clear Lash Mascara</b><b>-</b>Lately, my brows have been my obsession. I have struggled with my brows my entire life and finally, after going to an amazing waxer, my brows are one of my favorite things! After filling them in with powder, I brush this over them and they stay put all day. Only $1 and keeps my eyebrows soft not crunchy or hard feeling</li>
<li><b>MAC Eyelash Curler</b><b>-</b>After trying many eyelash curlers that received plenty of raves (ELF, Shu Uemera, Shiseido, etc.), this is my definite favorite. It curls my lashes PERFECTLY and mine has lasted two years with no replacement pad yet :) Literally transforms my lashes to the point where a mascara I normally hate, now looks great because of the curl this gives my lashes.</li>
</ol><b><br />
</b></div><div><ul><li><b>Category four: Miscellaneous/Multi Purpose</b></li>
</ul><b></b><br />
<b></b><br />

<b><div style="font-weight: normal;">From left to right:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0843.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0843.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
</div><div style="font-weight: normal;"><ol><li><b>Britney Spears new cd;)</b><b>-</b>I absolutely ADORE Britney Spears, I don't care what anyone thinks of her, I've been a fan for ages :) Yes, I spelled the fatal wrong on the disk LOL It was early in the morning! Her new CD is fantastic, if you haven't downloaded it yet, you need to</li>
<li><b>Sonia Kashuk Fluffy Blending Brush</b><b>-</b>This brush is total 100% HG. I use it for literally everything: blending out my crease color perfectly, applying under eye concealer flawlessly, and applying my highlight color! It is so soft and definitely rivals my MAC, except this was under $10 at Target. I have a lot of Sonia Kashuk brushes and none have disappointed me.</li>
<li><b>Bag Balm</b><b>-</b>Ah how I love this balm. This is HG for me as well :) A huge tub is $9 and will literally last you for ages! I apply this EVERYWHERE: dry spots on my face (this does not break me out at all), my feet at night, my lips when they're chapped or as an overnight treatment, my body, my cuticles,my hands etc.While it's great plain, I love mixing it with lotion, it makes it last so much longer and makes it so creamy and long-lasting. It sinks in very quickly and you only need a small amount! Love it, definitely try it out :)</li>

PIC HEAVY<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"></span><br />
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">Hi girls! Here, I want to show<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: normal;"> how to get soft silky skin!</span></div></div></span><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>My skin tends to be quite normal, except for in the winter when it becomes incredibly dry. I love soft smooth skin that looks radiant and supple and is literally soft to the touch. Because of how cold it is, I have been using trial and error to find something that would give me everything I want and have finally found what products I love that work for me that will hopefully work for you too :)</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><ul><li>Body Wash- <b>Harmon Face Values Extra Moisturizing Body Wash</b></li>
</ul><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><br />

</span></b>I purchased this body wash from Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $3 or so. For Winter, this keeps my skin so lusciously smooth that I don't even need to follow up with lotion if I don't want to. This is the generic Bed, Bath, and Beyond version of the Olay Complete Body Wash (or something like that!). I don't remember the exact name, but I chose the generic version as it was bigger than the Olay one and about a dollar or two less! It is unscented and gives a rich creamy lather that I love.</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0857.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0857.jpg" style="cursor: move;" /></a></div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">In the summer, I use <b>Caress Whipped Souffle</b> as it is a bit lighter than the Harmon/Olay one making it perfect for the warmer weather. The smell is definitely subjective. I first loved it, then didn't use it in forever and hated it, and now love it again. It is a very warm peach, if that makes sense. It smells like warm peaches and cream, which threw me off because I was expecting more fruity (vs. cozy). But it works amazingly so definitely smell it before you buy it! It also comes in different flavors.</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><ul><li>Body Scrub- <b>LUSH Buffy</b><div style="font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"></div></div><div style="font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />

</ul></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">My favorite body exfoliator and Lush product in general is Lush 'Buffy' without a doubt. It smells like vanilla coconut and does such a great job at moisturizing and exfoliating at the same time. Because it is expensive, I don't use it as often as I'd like but if you are willing to spend the money, I would definitely reccomend it! I use it after I wash my body and scrub it on. I leave it on for about a minute or two and then very gently (and quickly!) rinse it off. I don't wipe it off, just rinse. I then get out of the shower and very gently pat my body dry. I have found that this way leaves my body the most moisturized.</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">Because of how often I exfoliate (4-5 times a week), I end up going through product very quickly. I have another scrub in the shower that I use more often which is <b>Freeman's Body Sugar Scrub in Pomegranate</b>. It smells delicious, but be warned it is not moisturizing. When my mom used it, she told me she found it moisturizing, but personally, it is not enough for me at all. It's quite good at exfoliating, is dirt cheap (~$2.50 or so) and smells delicious, but I am not sure I would repurchase as I like something a bit more oily. <b>NOTE: </b>This works 1000x better when used on dry skin, so before getting into the shower, pop some of this on and then rinse it off when you step in :)</div></div><div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0845.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0845.jpg" style="cursor: move;" /></a></div></div></div><div><ul><li>Body Lotion- <b>Olay Quench Body Lotion deep moisture with cocoa butter, jojoba and vitamin B3</b></li>
</ul><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0847.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0847.jpg" style="cursor: move;" /></a></div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0846.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0846.jpg" style="cursor: move;" /></a></div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">I have been on a quest to find the <i>perfect </i>body lotion for ages. While I'm not sure this is the absolute best on its own, in conjunction with the other body products I use (and mention in this post), I will continue to re-buy as I do love it. It has a faint smell of vanilla, but it does not linger on the body. I have a big issue with body lotions because I find that most leave behind a film, sometimes sticky, that I absolutely hate. I also like my skin to feel very very soft and moisturized and I have not found many lotions that do this for me. I apply the Olay right out of the shower to my entire body and wait about a minute and then get changed. The lotion needs about that amount of time to soak into my body and then I'm good to go!</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">I have heard that body butters are very effective at keeping dry skin moisturized as well. Hearing this, I decided to venture to The Body Shop and picked up three. I got a large jar of the Hemp Body butter (not pictured), as well as two mini jars (one was Coconut, while the other is Shea). My entire family AND my boyfriend adore these, but for some reason it doesn't work with my skin. It leaves a greasy film on my skin and never seems to sink in :( any tips or tricks for these that you girls have? I will say that the coconut smells amazing and the shea seems to work the best out of the three. The hemp smells terrible imo, but is known to be the most moisturizing.</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />

</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">I <i>love</i> this body oil and think every girl should have a bottle in their bathroom. I purchased this for only $1 at Target and it is the generic/Target brand of Johnson's Baby Oil. After I wash my body, I rinse off and then slather this all over my body, focusing on my legs and anywhere else I shaved. I don't rinse or pat this off, I just get out of the shower, put on my bathrobe and brush my hair or something. I want to give it ample time to sink in, but I don't find that putting on my bathrobe takes it off or anything like that. This product leaves my skin so silky smooth and I will continue to repucharchase forever. I have heard that many people use this as an eye makeup remover as well, but I can't vouch for how well it works as I have never tried since I am satisfied with my makeup remover I use (reveal in upcoming post!). For only $1, I don't think people have anything to lose with this and should definitely give it a try!</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />

</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">I wash my hand so often, and because of this, my hands can be especially dry and raw. About two months ago, I switched to this hand soap and am in love! The formula is divine and so moisturizing. It also smells delicious...like honey :) It was very cheap from Target, I think maybe $2 or so? Since using this, my hands stay moisturized and soft which is big for me.</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />

</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">I adore this hand scrub!! I got it at Target about a year ago and haven't been able to find this since :( But if you see it, snatch it up! It is a very grainy scrub that smells of almonds. I apply this to my hands (either dry or damp depending on the amount of exfoliation I'd like) and then rub it in for about a minute or so. I then rinse them off, and apply hand soap and hand lotion. This product works miracles and makes my hands SO soft.</div></div><div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><br />

<br />
As someone who used to only wear burgundy and red nail polishes, with the addition of french manicures, I have branched out in the past year or so, but especially in the past four months or so. Pastels and brights now litter my once small nail polish stash. One brand I have adored lately is Color Club. They have a huge array of colors and last very well on the nail. While they look very expensive, they are only $3 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond :)<br />
<br />
Here, I'm wearing <b>Color Club Electro Candy</b>, part of the Electro Candy collection which contained a bunch of other neons that I will review if you girls are interesting. It is a gorgeous hot pink that has a light turquoise-sea foam shimmer that runs through it. It is so neon it literally GLOWS! beautiful, i love it.<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1051-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1051-1.jpg" /></a><br />
the turquoise shimmer is much more noticable in real life.<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0668.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0668.jpg" /></a><br />
you can really see the shimmer here:<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0667.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0667.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
A few days ago, I was at Forever 21 and was browsing through the nailpolishes. I came upon a ton of absolutely gorgeous one and remembering Natty's recent NOTD posts, I remembered how much she raved about them so I decided to pick up two (although I wanted to get a bunch more!). I chose 'light orange' which is a gorgeous peach (future post on that) and <b>'dark purple'</b>, a BEAUTIFUL dark purple that has blue, purple and yellow flashes and glimmers through it. The finish is amazing...like literally purple foil if that makes sense, it is so incredible. It wears beautifully and is SO shiny without a topcoat (as you'll see in the picture...I did not have a chance to put on a top coat before I took these photos). For only $2.50 a piece, I will definitely pick up more of these.<br />

<b>What are your favorite nail polish brands? What colors have you guys liked lately? Have any of you tried out F21 nail polishes or Color Club?</b>Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-61674109118202368662011-03-11T18:25:00.000-08:002011-03-11T18:25:25.167-08:00NYX products to achieve: Perfect Baby Milky Pink Lips :)For awhile, I've been on the quest to find the products that would help me achieve a baby pinky nude, with no shimmer but more of a subtle milky look to it. MAC Angel, NARS Turkish Delight, MAC Underage and a variety of other similar toned lip colors; each were close, but not quite right.<br />
<br />
This week, at Ulta, I stumbled upon two NYX lip colors: NYX lipstick in Strawberry Milk and a new NYX product: Soft Matte Lip Cream. I got the shade Tokyo, a slightly more subtle version color-wise of the lipstick, but virtually the same shade.<br />
<br />
Here is a picture I quickly snapped before my camera died of me...this is an accurate representation of the color my lips with no product on them.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0140-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0140-1.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Strawberry Milk, part of the NYX round label lipstick line, is a cool toned baby pink creamy and unbelievably opaque lipstick. The texture is incredibly smooth and moisturizing. 95% of lipsticks I wore show the cracks on my lips, regardless of whether or not I exfoliate them first and rid them of the dead skin. Without exfoliating and just applying this from the tube, I get a gorgeous creamy consistency that completely covers my lips, yet doesn't show any cracks or dead skin. Straight from the tube, it is VERY opaque so I like to apply it with a lip brush or use my finger to smooth out the color over my lips which lifts some of the colors. This retails for around $3.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0158.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0158.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0154.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0154.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0162.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0162.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0165.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0165.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Tokyo is supposed to be a lipstick-gloss hybrid. The baby pink gloss comes in a tube with a black rubberized cap, boasting a design very similar to the NARS lipglosses. The color is a more toned down version of Strawberry milk and has an incredibly creamy texture. The color is very opaque and gives a creamy finish to the lips. Wears incredibly well, retails for around $4.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0179.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0179.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />

Have you girls tried NYX lip colors? And what are your favorite baby pinks in general?Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-29062291838371590852011-03-07T13:14:00.000-08:002011-03-07T13:45:34.517-08:00Hot Trend for Spring: Bright blushes (Review and swatches)Hello my loves! Hope you're all doing well today :)<br /><br /><br />As seen on many runways, fashion shows depicted future spring makeup trends included bright lips and bright blush. Blush is something I have never really been into for a number of reasons. Ok...that's a lie. I have WANTED blush to work for me and have lusted over it for ages. I would tend to overblend it into my bronzer leaving my face orange. it was not a good look; i ended up wearing just bronzer and highlighter for a long time which is a look I still love and do often. After much trial and error, practicing, and CC I realized that although I still love the just bronzer look, I adore/need the pop of color that blush brings to my face. In an upcoming post, I will show a few blushes I have come to fall in love with, but the one that everyone needs to try and get a hold of is <span style="font-weight:bold;">Pout's Apricot Totty</span>.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0131.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0131.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0130.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0130.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br />The color is a gorgeous bright vivid peach coral with a hint of pink, but definitely on the coral side (vs. pink-coral). It brightens up my face and makes me look healthy, tan, etc. It is such a gorgeous and complex color that I apply with a blush brush (I just use one from Lancome, but it's an ordinary blush brush, not duo fibre stippling blush). It is quite fragile and as you can see, I dropped mine and repressed it (and did an absolutely horrendous job at it LOL) :( I've had this blush for about a year and a half (!) and just started using it now. It lasts all day,as well! :) Although I do not use a skunk (duo-fibre) brush to apply it, I still use a quite light hand with my blush brush and build up the color using that as I can always add more.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0125.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0125.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0128.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0128.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br />Swatches on my NC25-30 skin:<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0136.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0136.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0135.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0135.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0134.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0134.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div>What are some of your guys favorite bright blushes?</div>Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-37863535137005197312011-03-06T11:30:00.000-08:002011-03-06T12:18:46.550-08:00REVIEW: New Clearasil Ultra Acne+Marks Wash and Mask vs. Clearasil Ultra Face WashHi hunnies! I have a ton of great posts coming up, but thought I would start with this review.<br /><br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0129.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0129.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br />I was running low on my Clearasil Ultra Face Wash last week, so I ran to Target. Me, being in a rush as always, didn't realize I grabbed the wrong one until I got home! Instead of the usual face wash, I grabbed the Acne+Marks Wash and Mask. I was very intrigued as I love multi tasking products and am OBSESSED with the original face wash so I thought I'd try it out :)<br />*Review for that one <a href="http://makeuplovexo.blogspot.com/2011/01/clear-skin-fast-and-cheapone-skin-care.html">here</a>*<br /><br><br />I searched for reviews on this new product, but could only find one on makeupalley and only a couple on other blogs so I thought I'd let you girls know my thoughts on this. This is supposed to be use once a night as a wash (you could use 2x/day as well, but I found that too drying) and twice a week as a mask. To "active" it in mask form, you're supposed to leave it on for one minute longer. That's it. I was a bit skeptical because I already leave my face wash on for about 30 seconds, but decided to leave this on for about two or three minutes. <br /><br><br />WARNING: The face wash will not dry like a normal mask-it will feel slightly tacky. I thought it would be kind of hard or even dried up and crumbly in some areas, but that was not the case.<br /><br><br />After using this for the past week (and using it as a mask every other day), I can gladly say this has replaced my usual HG Clearasil Ultra Face Wash. After comparing the two though, I found <b> they are the exact same product! </b> Same ingredients, word for word, and in the exact same order. I am not sure if this one will replace the other because they are the same thing.<br /><br><br />Leaving it on as a mask has made it even more HG worthy than normal...I have some acne scarring on my cheeks but this seems to have made them fade almost 80% in the last WEEK! I love this product and would definitely reccomend. If you have the other face wash, don't bother picking this up, just use your current one as a mask; but if youre running low on the other or haven't tried either, I would definitely reccomend this. <br /><br><br /><br />What skin care have you guys loved lately?Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-73805995928961903982011-02-28T12:51:00.000-08:002011-02-28T13:18:55.420-08:00makeup products to achieve a flawless face :) PART 3 HIGHLIGHTS! tips and tricks:)Hi beautifuls! This is part 3 out of the total of 3 posts in regards to what i wear to get an absolutely flawless face. Like I stated before, this is NOT the makeup routine I wear every day as this is a lot of makeup (although it doesnt feel like it!). Instead, I reserve this makeup routine for night out or when I want my skin and face makeup to look its best. Hope you like it :)<br><br /><br />I split this post into three parts: Base (Primer, Foundation and Powder), Color (Contour, Bronzer and Blush) and Glow (Highlight).<br /><br><br />Everything all together:<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1072.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1072.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br><br />Highlighters:<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1104.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1104.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br><br /><br />I've included two different highlights because i use them for two different looks. I use the MAC MSF when I want a super noticeable glow. I only apply it to my cheekbones as it can give off a slightly pink cast and it is very glowy. It is finely milled so it doesn't come off as glittery, chunky, oily or anything else. It also doesn't look gaudy, but it is more of a statement or nighttime look than the Sin eyeshadow. I use sin as a more subtle look and apply this to all of my highest points (i.e. my cheekbones, my brow bone, my cupid bow, above my eyebrow bone...I will do a tutorial soon showing the placement). This gives a very subtle glow, but if applied more heavily on the brush,it can look more dramatic.<br /><br><br />Highlighter: MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Light Flush<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0006.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0006.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br><br /><br />I bought this highlighter, which is light pink with bronze and raspberry veining, about three years ago when it came out with the N collection in 2008. This is a limited edition product, but I found a dupe for it so look forward to that in upcoming posts! Applied subtly, this is a beautiful strong glowy highlight. It gives off a pink-ish highlight. With that being said, it does work on cooler skintones as well, but I always wear this highlight with a wam colored or no blush (as opposed to a cooler shade of blush). Applied with a different brush which would provide heavier application, Light Flush turns becomes more pigmented and a sort of light-pink bronzey color that I use as a blush. I like using this mostly for more dramatic looks because the sheen, shimmer, and color make it a bit more statement-making than another highlighter.<br><br /><br />Highlighter #2: Urban Decay Sin<br /><br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0011.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0011.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />(2nd shade)<br /><br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0008.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0008.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />(2nd shade)<br /><br><br />I never had any interest in Sin before I picked it up in the Naked Palette. Even then, it looked pretty but just seemed like another average highlighter. Boy, how wrong I was! After seeing Natty use this color as a highlight, I had to try it out for myself and it was love. Sin is described as a shimmery golden peach toned color, but I find this color to be much more multidimensional. It sometimes gives off peachy tones, sometimes pinky, sometimes champagne, etc etc. I find this color morphs to whatever color I pair it with. It gives off a beautiful glimmer that truly looks like your skin is radiant, healthy, and awake. Regardless of the fact that this isn't a bright blush which would offer a pop of color, I still feel like it really brightens my face up.<br /><br><br />That's it for my flawless face series :) Hope you girls enjoyed! This is part 2 out of the total of 3 posts in regards to what i wear to get an absolutely flawless face. Like I stated before, this is NOT the makeup routine I wear every day as this is a lot of makeup (although it doesnt feel like it!). Instead, I reserve this makeup routine for night out or when I want my skin and face makeup to look its best. Hope you like it :)<br><br />I split this post into three parts: Base (Primer, Foundation and Powder), Color (Contour, Bronzer and Blush) and Glow (Highlight).<br><br />Everything all together:<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1072.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1072.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br />Contour/Bronzer/Blush:<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1078.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1078.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br />Bronzer: NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer Face Color in Sunny<br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1081.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1081.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br />I am in love with this bronzer. I got this for about $3 at Target around 2 years ago and have gone through maybe four or five. Before I used this bronzer, I used a Sephora one which ran around $15 or so. That one gave me such beautiful color but I would run out of it every few months and it would get quite pricey. After hearing so many raves about the NYC one, I ran out and got it and have loved it ever since. It is an exact dupe of the Sephora one, minus the price and the packaging. The NYC packaging is quite floppy but I care more about the product than the actual packaging. This bronzer gives such healthy color to my skin and can definitely be built up (I can use this bronzer in the summer vs. in the winter). It never looks orange either, just gives off a gorgeous brown color :)<br /><br><br />Contour: ELF Blush/Bronzer Duo in Blushed/Bronze<br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1093.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1093.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br />I first picked this up to use as a blush and bronzer duo, which is exactly what it's marketed as. I am NC30 so not pale, but for some reason, the bronze side of this is much too dark for me as a bronzer. Instead, I use it to contour which I absolutely love it for. The color looks quite sparkly and shimmery in the pan, but with a few taps on the side of the compact, the shimmer falls off and you are just left with a gorgeous rich bronze color. I use this to contour and find it does an absolutely perfect job. It was $3 at Target and is said to be a dupe of NARS Laguna/Orgasm duo in terms of packaging, as well as coloring. The packaging is dead on, as are the colors :) I love this, although don't use the blush that often for some reason! Would definitely definitely recommend this, I love ELF products!<br /><br><br />Blush: Sephora blush me! in peche tendre n4<br><br /><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1097.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1097.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1098.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1098.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1099.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1099.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br><br />Gorgeous blush!! I am not great at applying blush for some reason. I always feel as if I blend it too much and it then just looks muddy :( Because of this, I stayed away from blush for about a year and a half and neglected all of the ones in my stash and stayed clear from purchasing any new ones. I went to Sephora around two months ago and fell in love with this blush! It is an absolutely gorgeous baby peach-pink color and retailed for $9. The quality is unbelievable and it applies beautifully. I am going to do an in-depth post on this blush as it really is stunning. It also lasts forever on the skin :) I have used this almost every day for the past two months and have not made even the smallest dent. Sephora has a bunch of absolutely gorgeous blushes so I will definitely need to check out the other colors.</div><div><br /><br><br />What do you guys like to use to achieve a flawless face?</div>Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-17779307893644916322011-02-20T17:46:00.001-08:002011-02-20T19:48:42.292-08:00makeup products to achieve a flawless face :) PART 1Hi girls! A few years ago, when I first started getting into makeup, I was interested in getting a face primer but couldn't bother spending $28 or so. After hearing on makeupalley how this one was a dupe for the Smashbox as they both have the same active ingredient (Dimethicone...a well known silicone). I have used this every time I do my face makeup even on a daily basis. I love it and an amazing dupe for the Smashbox Photo Finish primer :) Only about $7. After I moisturize my face and let it dry, I apply a pea size amount and apply it all over my face. I then let that sit and continue on to the rest of my routine. It helps my makeup last much longer (which used to be a big issue for me) and leaves my skin very smooth so my foundation applies perfectly.<br /></div><div><br /><div><ul><li>Foundation: <b>Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1058.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1058.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>This is marketed as a tinted moisturizer, but it is definitely buildable. It was about $10 at Target. I love this tinted moisturizer because it covers redness in a light layer and for other skin problems, with a dab of concealer and another layer (or two), skin looks absolutely flawless. Be warned- this doesn't look good applied with fingers (which is how I usually apply my foundations), I need to use a brush. I use my Sonia Kashuk Highlighting Brush, which is similar to the MAC 187. This finish is satin and quite glowy, but can easily be powdered down to a satin matte finish.<br /></div></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Powder: <b>MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Medium</b></li></ul><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1059.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1059.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div>I am absolutely obsessed with this and definitely deserves its own post within the next few weeks. This gives off just the most glowy perfect super model finish. It isn't too glowy and definitely doesn't make one look greasy, but it imparts a glow in all the right places. With a more dense brush (i.e. a kabuki) it gives off enough coverage to work as a foundation. I am in love with this, definitely HG. I am NC25 and wear Medium, but during summer, I will switch to Medium Plus.</div><div><br /></div><div>What do you guys like to use to achieve a flawless face?</div>Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-15557538261828268852011-02-18T12:15:00.001-08:002011-02-18T12:15:40.106-08:00LUSH Oatfix Mask Review<div><b>LUSH Oatfix Mask</b><div><b></div><div><br /></div><div></b><div><b><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1042.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1042.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div></b><div></div><div></div><div><b>LUSH says:</b> I can't find this mask on the LUSH website for some reason so unfortunately, I can't give the exact description from there. On the tub of the mask though, it states:</div><div>"A delicious blend of bananas, vanilla and oats to cleanse, soften and moisturize dry and sensitive skin. Apply to clean skin avoiding the eye area. Leave 5-10 minutes and rinse away with warm water. Keep refrigerated." </div><div></div><div></div><div><b>Skin type:</b> Normal, but definitely on the more dry side. Quite clear, but with a few light spots left over from old acne spots. Not too sensitive, but when it doesn't like something, it definitely reacts quite quickly.</div><div></div><div></div><div><div><b>Cost: </b>$5 for a 2.1 oz tub</div><div></div><div></div><div><b>Consistency:</b> The consistency of this was odd. It was thick and quite "lumpy", for lack of better word. It had a lot of oatmeal in it, hence the nam, which caused it to have this odd consistency. It also was quite thick, but not particularly hard to blend. </div><div></div><div></div><div><b>Effectiveness:</b> I thought this was a great mask, but was definitely not a miracle or a necessary mask. It was a nice treat and definitely moisturized my skin for the rest of the day but did not do anything to even out my complexion or reduce scarring, although the mask doesn't state it would. When I washed it off it left a sort of "film" on my face, but it wasn't a sticky or uncomfortable film, more like a soft film? I feel uncomfortable using the word film because I associate it with sticky, heavy, greasy, etc. and this wasn't any of those things. For what it said it would do (moisturize) it did, and it also left my skin glowy.</div><div></div><div></div><div><b>Scent:</b> Oh my goodness, YUM! It smells like banana bread, so delicious :)</div><div></div><div></div><div><b>Application:</b> I applied this all over my face and let it sit for 15 minutes. This was definitely not like the typical mask in terms of the feel when it dries. I am used to knowing when a mask is dry due to it feeling tight on my face, as well as dry. This mask was neither of those. It was neither dry nor wet after the 15 minutes. It was definitely dry compared to when I first applied it, but without comparing it to how it was in the beginning, it felt a bit damp. You need quite a bit when you apply and I did not go with the "less is more" theory. I applied this on liberally and barely made a dent. It was kind of difficult to have it go on smooth, but not hard to apply by any means, just a bit more time consuming. To remove, I wet my hands with warm water and then rubbed my face which helped remove the mask, as well as exfoliate lightly due to the oatmeal pieces. That removed about 40%-50% of the mask and then I use a warm washcloth to wipe of the remainder of the mask.</div><div></div><div></div><div><b>Shelf Life:</b> This mask is said to last three weeks. I still had some after that amount of time and finally finished it about a month after I purchased it (so about a week after the 'expiration date') and the consistency was the exact same and still smelled delicious, but I wouldn't keep it much longer past that. The lady at lush told me the tub I purchased held about six applications worth. I got about 10 or 11 uses out of it and I applied it quite liberally.</div></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1048.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1048.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1049.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1049.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1047.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1047.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_1046.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_1046.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div></div><div></div><div>Have you ever tried any Lush skin care? I have a lot of great upcoming posts for you but I decided I need to write this one right now :)<br />As you know, I am obsessed with soft touchable skin and have a slew of exfoliators, body lotions, etc and a post on it as well...well lately the one I've been reaching for constantly is <b>Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Brazilian Nut.</b><b><br /></b><b><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0932.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0932.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></b><b><br /></b><b>COST- </b>$4 at Walmart<b><br /></b><b>SCENT- </b>My favorite part :) This smells like a rich toffee with notes of caramel and coffee as well. It has a pretty strong scent-not overwhelming, but it is definitely rich. The scent lingers on the skin for maybe 15 minutes but that's about it which I like as it doesn't interfere with my perfumes. On the other hand, my shower will smell like it for a few hours which I like.<br /><b>EFFECTIVENESS- </b>I adore this scrub because of how well it exfoliates! It has a very thick consistency and spreads on evenly and easily. I do recommend using this before you get wet (i.e. right when you step in the shower) because I find it does a deeper exfoliation due to how it <i>is </i>a sugar scrub and sugar dissolves quite quickly in the water. But I do like it either way, it just depends what mood I'm in, the condition of my skin, etc.<br /><br /><b>STAYING POWER- </b>While the scent did go away, my skin stayed soft and moisturized for the entire day afterwards. Although, I do have to note, I used this a few times and when my legs were shaved, they hold the moisture in although when they had some stubble, the moisture barely held in :(<br /><b>CONSISTENCY- </b>The consistency (along with the scent) is one of my favorite things about this product. It is kind of goopy and very very thick. A little bit goes a very long way; a small handful was enough for my entire body and I still had a lot left over in my palm.<br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0931.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0931.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></span></span></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', verdana, arial, sans-serif;color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; line-height: 18px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; font-size: -webkit-xxx-large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; "><br /></span></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', verdana, arial, sans-serif;color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; line-height: 18px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; font-size: -webkit-xxx-large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; "><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0934.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0934.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />I would definitely reccomend this :) What are your favorite scrubs?</span></span></span></div>Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14517530092463798821noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6179836834003418343.post-58727353230961630952011-01-22T12:48:00.000-08:002011-01-22T13:29:46.399-08:00nars sheer glow review and fotd :) x<div>testing out nars sheer glow...</div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0854-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0854-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0861-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0861-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0880.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0880.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>^my nose isnt really that big its the angle i promise lol</div><div><br /></div><div>face:</div><div>nars sheer glow</div><div>maybelline dream pressed powder</div><div>mac hush ccb</div><div>nyc sunny</div><div>elf blush/bronzer duo (used only the bronzer)</div><div><br /></div><div>eyes:</div><div>udpp</div><div>lm topaz</div><div>mac carbon</div><div>mac deep devotion</div><div>lumene blue magic</div><div>sephora chubby eye pencil</div><div>milani liquifeye pencil in black</div><div>loreal collegen mascara</div><div>mac shroom</div><div><br /></div><div>REVIEW:</div><div>I am a complete idiot and completely forgot what shade I am in this foundation as I only got a sample and I dont remember the color the SA gave me/she didnt write it on the sample. Maybe this was my first problem, but I had very high expectations for this foundation as I've heard it raved about constantly, as well as the fact that I've seen it on youtube/in fotds and it looks STUNNING. on me, it looked very very cakey and accentuated every dry spot-this never ever happens. yes i exfoliated, moisturized, and used a primer.</div><div><br /></div><div>Another thing I didn't like is the staying power. It lasted about 4 hours or so on me, even with my favorite setting powder :( Unfortunately, although you only need a little at a time and it was a perfect match shade-wise, I will not be purchasing this. I will do a review on my HG foundation within the next week.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Have you tried NARS foundations? I bought it about a month ago and while I used it a few times here and there, I have been using it nonstop the past week. It was about $6 at CVS :) I used to love UD zero, but it began to become a little expensive after awhile and it didnt last on my waterline. I have heard SO many raves about this whether it was on makeupalley, youtube, blogger, etc. so I decided to pick it up when I heard it was a dupe to the UD 24/7. It has lasted up to 15 hours on me and remained vivid and looks like it does when I first applied it. It is one of the richest blacks I have ever seen and while it can be smudged in the first 25 seconds, it then sets and becomes ultimately budgeproof. I completely 100% recommend it :) It also lasts FOREVER on the waterline and not many liners do on me!<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>MAC quad: <b>All That Glitters, Mythology, Woodwinked, Twinks</b></li></ul><br /><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0895.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0895.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0897.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0897.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div>Top Row: ATG, Mythology; Bottom Row: Woodwinked, Twinks<br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0898.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0898.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>L-R: ATG, Woodwinked, Mythology, Twinks</div><div><br /></div><div>I haven't used these colors in FOREVER but I have been loving them this past week :)<br /></div><div>-<b>All That Glitters</b> is a gorgeous shimmery light gold neutral color. It is incredibly pigmented and blends beautifully. I tried it awhile ago and it gave off quite an orangey sheen for some reason so I passed it on to my mom. I recently started using it again and stole it back from her! Hahah it's not orangey at all anymore, but it definitely leans warm more than neutral.</div><div>-<b>Mythology </b>is a color I have struggled with for a bit. When I first bought it, I would pair it all over the lid with MAC Antiqued in the crease which was just STUNNING and made my eyes look so vibrant. I then went through a phase where I would wear a brightly colored liner (UD Covet, Sephora chubby eyeliner in a slate gunmetal shade, etc.) with a taupe eyeshadow in the crease (MAC Satin Taupe) so I forgot about it. Although it is a lustre, it is still very pigmented, but I find it better to pat it on the lid and pack it on that way vs. brushing/sweeping it on. I</div><div>have been wearing this on the lid and adore it! It also looks fab wet.</div><div>-<b>Woodwinked </b>is the next color in this palette. It can take on a very orangey tone on some people but it doesnt really do that to me fortunately. This color is so metallic and pigmented and is just gorgeous. I love wearing it on the lid with a dark brown or black on the outer lid :) It also looks great with bronze/blacks/blues/greens/purples...it is so incredibly versatile.</div><div>-<b>Twinks </b>is a stunning plum colored shadow. Like the others, it is very very pigmented and blends wonderfully. I've heard its the plum version of sable; I can kind of see this but Sable made me look tired where as this looks fantastic. It makes my eyes look very green. I wear this as a liner, on the lid, in the crease, or in the outer corner. It honestly looks great ANYWHERE on the lid.</div><div>When I want to use all the colors together, I apply ATG as a wash up to my brow bone and then pack it on in the inner corner and inner half of the lid. I put woodwinked on the other half of the lid and then on the very outer part of the lid, I use mythology and sweep some into the crease as well. I then put Twinks in the outer corner of the eye. On the lower lid, I apply ATG, Woodwinked, Mythology, and Twinks in that order.</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li><b>MAC eyeshadow in Beauty Marked</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0905.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0905.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Top left.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0909.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0909.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>swatched dry, wet, over NYX Milk (a white base)</div><div><br /></div><div>I love love love this eyeshadow!! I bought it when I first started getting into MAC around 5 years ago. When I first bought it, I thought it would turn out how it looks in the pan and unfortunately, it doesnt unless I put a red base underneath it and it further brings out the colors if I use it wet. When I use it dry, I love it just as much! It is a sheer soft black with red sparkles which don't show up too well, but catch the light/out in the sun. It can definitely be built up to be a dark rich black. It is also very easy to blend which is why I love and is less than I can say for MAC Carbon which I have and dislike immensely. I also love how it morphs to the colors I use with it...when I use it with a blue on the lid and layer Beauty Marked on top, it becomes a dark shimmery black blue, when I put it over purple, it turns dark purple/maroon. It literally changes to whatever color you use it with, I love it :)<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li><b>MAC 219 Pencil Brush</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0915.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0915.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />I bought this brush a few years ago and hated it simply because I didnt know what to do with it! I though it was a waste of $19. I've started using this again and I love it! It's great for smudging colors out, defined crease work, outer v, highlighting inner corner, smudging liner, applying color to the lower lash line, etc etc! It's fantastic :) Not sure I'd spend $19 on it if I had to do it again as there are cheaper dupes, but now that I have it its fab :)<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li><b>Sonia Kashuk Highlighting Brush</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0916.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0916.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />Without a doubt my favorite face brush and definitely one of my top 3 favorite brushes of all time (as well as the MAC 217 and the Chanel eye blender brush). It literally makes my face appear flawless. It was $13 at Target and definitely up to par in terms of quality with my MAC, Chanel, Laura Mercier, etc. brushes. I'm sorry it is so disgustingly dirty, the bristles are usually white I really need to wash it:( I have two-one to apply my bronzer and one to apply my foundation. It really spreads around my foundation so beautifully and buffs it into my skin leaving it looking flawless. I use it to apply my contour and it really does all the work for me. It is so fantastic, I'm completely love it :) I would recommend this brush without a doubt.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li><b>MAC Cream Color Base in Hush</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0921.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0921.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />I cannot express how much I love this product. It is a gorgeous peachy color and leaves just the most beautiful sheen. It can look natural or more pronounced depending on how much you put on. I apply this either under foundation or on top of it depending on the look I'm going for. The MA at MAC told me that the Victoria Secret models use this on the runways and in photoshoots (I read this on makeupalley as well in one of the reviews as well as from my MA so I think it might be correct) and I can definitely see how it is true. It is the most perfect stunning highlighter ever! The consistency is just great, its not tacky at all, just light and flawless. I apply this on my cheekbones, done my nose, on the tip of my nose, on my cupids bow...everywhere! I use it a lot and there is still a ton of product left because you really dont need to use that much. Love love love ♥</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>What are some of your recent favorites? Have you tried any of these? It's taken me a while to find the perfect combination of products and I think I finally have found them :)</div><div><br /></div><div>Hopefully this helps some of you xxxx</div><div><br /></div><div><b>My Hair Type:</b> My hair is fine, but I have a <i>ton</i> of it. It is virgin hair (in other words, its never been colored) and while it isn't oily, I generally need to wash it every day, but I can get away with other day sometimes if I'm lucky. The ends of my hair can be quite dry as well. It is also straight.</div><div><br /></div><div>Here are a few pictures, please ignore how frizzy it was! I had the humidifier on in my room and tried to smooth it out with my hands making it worse lol just focus on the length ! x</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0246.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0246.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0181.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0181.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Shampoo-<b>V05 Moisture Milks in Strawberries & Cream</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0847-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0847-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I absolutely adore this shampoo! I used to use quite high end shampoos in the past (TiGi, Nexxus, etc) and found that they were getting a bit pricey as I go through shampoo rather quick. As I was browsing my local CVS, I found this and decided I'd try it because of how cheap it was (It was on sale for 69 cents! Although when it's not on sale, its still only 99 cents :)) It smells of strawberries and vanilla cake, it's absolutely delicious and it lathers <i>so</i> well and leaves my hair very moisturized. I love it and find that it does as well as a job as my previous higher end shampoos.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0850.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0850.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>(its not this gross of a green in person, promise lol)</div><div><br /></div><div>Once a week, I like to use a bit of a clarifying shampoo just so I can get a real deep clean and thoroughly remove all the products from my hair. I have found that I need to keep my hair quite moisturized to have it look nice this long (and not stringy!) so I try to avoid shampoos that are very clarifying. The shampoo I like to use is another V05 one and is called the <b>Tea Therapy Smoothing Shampoo in Healthful Green Tea</b>. I love this shampoo as it doesn't strip the moisture out of my hair at <i>all</i> (something I find most clarifying/deep cleaning shampoos do). This was also 69/99 cents :) Something to note is that this doesn't smell like green tea! It actually smells like fresh granny smith apples :)</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Conditioner-<b>Dove Damage Therapy Daily Moisture Conditioner</b></li></ul><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0853.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0853.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><br />I recently started using this conditioner about a month and a half ago and I love it. I am VERY picky with conditioners as I expect it to moisturize, detangle and smooth, yet not weigh my hair down (quite a tall order lol). This shampoo is about $6 and worth every single penny. I would honestly spend loads of money on this conditioner, it is that good. There is a very faint scent that I can't quite put my finger on, but it just smells nice and clean. I was scared that this would be too heavy to use every day, but it's not at all. My hair can be weighed down very easily and this leaves it very bouncy, yet moisturized. My mom's hair is thick, curly and colored, and she loves this too!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>TIP: </b>My hair used to be quite damaged from a number of things. My hair dresser told me that conditioner needs to be on hair for about 10 minutes before it can really soak in/your hair can get the proper benefits. I thought that seemed a bit excessive at first, but it's truly changed my hair for the better. I suggest you try it :)</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Protein Treatment-<b>GVP Reconstructing Conditioner/</b><b>Joico K-Pak.</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0839.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0839.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I adore this protein treatment!! It is the GVP (Generic Value Products) <b>GVP Reconstructing Conditioner </b>which is the generic version of the <b>Joico K-Pak. </b>They are the exact same products (same ingredients, same everything)...as you can tell, I'm a huge fan of buying generic things. I feel it is quite a waste to spend money on packaging, etc if you don't need to. I got this for about $6 while the Joico version costs around $20. My hair is very long and can get quite brittle on the ends. After shampooing and conditioning my hair, I apply this to the bottom half of my hair and leave it in for about five minutes or less. (sorry the letters all rubbed off! They do rub off quite easily when it gets wet, but that's not something I care about too much).</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0841-3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0841-3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>It is <i>VITAL</i> to follow with a conditioner after this...if you don't your hair will be left very crunchy and dry. I use another Sally's GVP Product called <b>GVP Conditioning Balm </b>which is the generic Sally's version of the <b>Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm</b>. I adore this because it instantly makes my hair feel so silky. After I rinse out the reconstructing conditioner, I apply this to the area where I put on the area where I put on the reoncstructing conditioner. I leave it on for about 5-7 minutes and then rinse it out. It smells SO good like bananas or something lol so so so delicious!</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Deep Conditioner-<b>Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0845-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0845-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I like this mask, but I'm not sure I <i>love </i>it. It does a good job of keeping my hair nice, but I'm not sure I love it. It's about $8 and I need quite a bit to cover all my hair and it ends up running out quickly. If you hunnies know any great deep conditioners, please comment below as I'd love to try out a new one! :) For what it is, it's good and combined with my amazing conditioner, it's not terrible :) I use this about once or twice a week and use the protein/balm about once every other week or once every three weeks.</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Detangler-<b>Suave Kids Detangling Spray in double dutch Apple</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0858-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0858-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />Ah I LOVE this detangler! While my conditioner does a fab job of detangling my hair, because of how fine my hair is and how much it is, my hair tangles SO easily. And even after I comb out all the tangles, it gets knotty after literally five minutes. Most frustrating thing ever LOL. This detangler was about $1.99 at Target and smells so yummy! It smells like apple jolly ranchers I love love love it! And it works amazingly :) It doesn't clash with my perfume, yet the smell lingers if someone gets very close to my hair (theyre giving me a hug, etc). So cheap and works amazingly. I apply this on either wet or dry hair, and it's effective either way.</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Heat Protector-<b>Chi Silk Infusion</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0865-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0865-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />I love this heat protector! I got mine for only $10 or so at Costco, but it usually retails for much more (I think $20 or so?). I use it every day: when my hair is damp before I blow dry, again when it's dry before I curl my hair (if I bother to that day). If I'm just running out the door and can't be bothered to do my hair, I'll still apply this on either my damp or dry hair and it makes it SO soft and silky and smooth!! Be warned it smells like men's cologne, but it goes away after like 15 minutes if you don't use too much. I use about a nickel or a quarters size of product for my long hair which is more than enough. Remember less really is more with this product as too much can leave hair looking greasy.</div><div><br /></div><div>I hope this helped some of you!!</div><div>What are your guys favorite hair products? And recs for a good volumizer? So please ignore that, as well as my brows and messy hair.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0845-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0845-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0847-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0847-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><b>My Skin Type</b>: My skin is quite normal, but can be on the dry side especially in the Winter. It's not particularly sensitive, but it can break out easily when I'm stressed. </div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Cleanser-<b>Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0864.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0864.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /><br />I have used this cleanser for about two years now and I adore it. It really helps prevent breakouts and clears up any current breakouts I might have. It is about $6 or so at CVS. It lasts me about four or five months and does wonders to my skin. I know that Clearasil also has another daily face wash but I'm not sure how that differs to mine. The other one is in a similar shaped tube/bottle, but is not metallic and has light blue and red. </div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0885.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0885.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0886.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0886.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Another cleanser I use occasionally is <b>Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser</b>. I love this cleanser and used it for awhile when I was about fourteen or so (so four years ago). It smells minty but the smell isn't strong which I love. Before I ever used this, I assumed it would tingle when I was washing my face with it, but once I wash it off, thats when it starts to tingle! The sensation is not strong at all and by no means painful or uncomfortable. I find this cleanser to be a bit more drying than the Clearasil so that's why I don't use it as often.</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Skin Care Tool- <b>Sephora Collection Precision Pore Cleansing Pad</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0873-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0873-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I absolutely adore this product and contribute a lot of my current state of my face to this. I picked this up from Sephora for about $5 and I am in love with it. This pad seems similar to the one L'Oreal has in their 360 Face WAsh, but I have never tried that one so I can't compare. I use this every night before I go to bed, but have heard some people use it twice a day. I get my face wet, get this wet and pour a pea sized amount of my face wash onto this. I then rub it around my face for about 45 seconds or so and then wash my face and wash the pad. It honestly feels a bit like a mini massage when I use it on my face lol I love it!! It really helps deep clean my skin, yet is gentle enough to use every day. While I reccomend all of the products in this post, this is the one I urge you to get. I use a face scrub a few times a week, but after using this one time, my skin was softer than it's been <i>ever. </i>It has helped greatly reduce a lot of redness in my face as well in as little as a few days! After a week of using this religiously, my skin tone is barely even ruddy anymore and a lot more even. Love this.</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Face Scrub- <b>Up & Up Scrub for Blemishes and Blackheads</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0875.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0875.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0875.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0875.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I love love love this scrub! Although I do think the pad I mentioned from Sephora is sufficient enough alone to use to exfoliate the face, I love using this one as well. I used to exfoliate my face maybe 4 times a week or so, but have cut down to only once a week since using the pad. This is supposed to be the Target brand/generic version of St. Ive's Apricot Scrub, but I find them to be incredibly different. This one smells a bit like medicine, while I find the St. Ives to smell a lot more like apricots. I also find this scrub to be more grainy and it feels a bit cooling on my face as well. I love this scrub a lot more than the St. Ives regardless of its smell because I feel like it does a great job exfoliating the skin. I wash my face and then use this. I leave it on for about a minute and then wash it off with warm water. It was only $2 at my Target. I'm not sure whatsoever, but I think this face wash has more medicine in it than the St Ive's blemish/blackhead scrub.</div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Mask- <b>Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0858.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0858.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I adore this face mask. It is very cheap (~$2) and smells great. It is very minty and invigorating and truly clears up any issues on my skin I might have. <br /></div><div><b>WARNING: </b>This product will most likely break people out the first time they use it. It is not causing acne, but instead is bringing up all of the exisiting pimples under the skin and bringing them to the surface so they can be treated. With a few nights of consisted use, it will clear everything up and the skin will look incredibly radiant and clear. I use this face mask twice a week and leave it on for about twenty minutes. I love it :)<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Treatment- <b>Clearasil Rapid Action Treatment Vanishing Cream</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0888.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0888.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I use this product whenever I feel a pimple about to come on, but is under the skin. I will usually do the mask and then rinse it off, and apply this. The trick to applying this is to remember that less is more. I used to put quite a bit of this on a particular spot, but after reading reviews on makeupalley, I learned that your supposed to apply a light layer over the spot or affected area. I found this to be a lot more effective. It was about $6 or so and lasts me about four months. I put it on overnight and wake up with substantially smaller and less red spots, if they aren't cleared up completely by this product.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0870.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0870.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Another product I've been loving is <b>Trader Joe's Spa Tea Tree Oil</b>. I bought this a few weeks ago to use on an infected piercing (my poor tragus :( haha) but had a pimple that just wouldn't go away no matter what. I absolutely despise the smell of this and find it really strong, but I've heard that some people (like my mom for example) love it and find it to be invigorating. I take a q-tip and soak it in water and then dip it into this jar and apply to my pimple. I use both sides of the q-tip (you do <i>not</i> want to double dip with this) and repeat the process on each side of the q-tip. I then let it dry and the next morning, anything that was there the night before will have completely vanished! I adore this product and truly think that I can put up with all the negatives because of how fantastic the outcome is, but be warned that this smells and is VERY drying. I apply moisturizer constantly when I use this product. When my skin was particularly bad a few weeks back, I took a cotton ball soaked it in water and then poured a bit of this on there. I rubbed it all over my face and used it as a toner. This STUNG a ridiculous amount regardless of how much more water I used (water:tea tree oil ratio). After about a minute, the stinging subdued immensely and I patted my face with a tissue and slathered on loads of lotion. I went to bed and woke up that morning with the softest smoothest skin! I don't recommend doing this often because of how drying it is, but whenever I have, my skin looks great.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Makeup Remover- <b>Ponds Cold Cream</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0865-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0865-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />I adore this makeup remover! I slather it all over my face and wipe it off with a tissue. I know a lot of people rinse their face after that because they don't like the film. I will sometimes rinse afterwards, but when my skin is extra dry, I won't rinse and just go to bed. My skin will be very supple, soft and moisturized when I wake up :)<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Moisturizer- <b>Up & Up Dual Treatment Moisturizer Oil Free</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0881.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0881.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />I love this because of how moisturizing it is and how cheap it is! I also love the fact that it's oil free and has treatment in it as well. I really slather this in and it does a great job of keeping me moisturized without making me oily or shiny. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div><ul><li>Sunscreen- <b>Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock Spf 30</b></li></ul><br /></div><div><a href="http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/?action=view&current=DSC_0882.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/ecberger/DSC_0882.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br />I've been trying to use sunscreen daily as I know how important it is. This one is quite good and was around $8-10 I believe. It does what a sunscreen should and makes my face soft and smooth, but my favorite is a Philosophy one which moisturizes amazingly. I have it in my bathroom somewhere, but it is just too expensive for me to justify using so often. I do use it on holiday or when it's very sunny. Otherwise, I just use this one.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I hoped this helped you! What face products do you love? MAC cool reserve nail polish and NYC dark brown waterproof eye pencilMAC Cool Reserve:<div>I loved the color of this nail polish when I first got it. I thought it was edgy and unique; kind of like Sephora's Metro Chic, but more purple. Since I was on a kick of that smokey purple-gray color (I've been using MAC Shale eyeshadow for the past few days nonstop), I decided to pick up this polish when MAC launched it.</div><div>Now the color just seems sort of blah (might be my skin tone: NC30. i think it'd look more flattering on paler skin tones..), and the formula is awful! I don't know if you can tell in the photos, but the nail polish will apply streak-free and near perfect looking and then once it dries, i look in the sun or outdoors and there are random spots that are sheerer where it looks i barely polished when i did.</div><div>Because of that, i would not recommend this.</div><div>Swatches:</div><div>(The first pic is way more true to life, the last one pulls too lilac)</div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01675.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01675.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01679.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01679.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>NYC Waterproof Pencil in Dark Brown:</div><div>I loooveeee this pencil<3><div>Swatches:</div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01682.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01682.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01683.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01683.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01684.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01684.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01686.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01686.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01687.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01687.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div>smoked and sheered out:</div><div><a href="http://s663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/?action=view&current=DSC01688.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu355/erriiicaFOTD/DSC01688.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>What are your favorites of the moment?
